Not posted for a while as I use the fbook forums, so thought i'd run this past you more experienced xtype owners.

Got this screech on startup and shutdown, sometimes it struggles to start and starts at the 2nd time of asking ?

any ideas

cars on 178k recently replaced the clutch, flywheel, slave and starter motor.

I think its from the crank pulley but not sure because when the engine is running its fine no screeching, does not appear to be any movement in the pulley when i pull on it, pulley was replaced with an uprated 2nd hand one a few years ago, if i remove the belt and start the car there is no more screech but don't understand why it does it on startup and shutdown only.
