The passenger side front seat belt just jammed in my 02 x-type. When I pull it (whether I do it slow or fast, it doesn't make a difference), it locks up, but it won't retract at all! I am thinking the seat belt is either twisted inside the door post or the retractor spring is busted. Either way, I need to get the door post cover off and I have no idea whatsoever on how to do this...

Any ideas?


UPDATE!
Just went out and pulled the weather stripping off the door frame... I was able to get the vertical cover open far enough to get my hand in there and untwist the seat belt SOME... it works again, but it is still pretty twisted in there... so I would still like to know how to take that entire door post cover off so I can fix it decently.

i havent done it in a while but my gfs x type seatbelt jammed from pulling it out to far, i pulled the cover off with no tools in a parking lot, rolled the seatbelt recoil by hand back and put back together. works perfect now and hasnt givena ny issues since.
