seat questions
I have a problem with my drivers seat.
The power up down does not work on the back half of the seat bottom. The front raises up and down, but the back makes noise like the motor is trying to work but does not.
Second question. If I need to pull the seat apart to fix it, is there anyway to add memory seat function while I'm at it.
Thanks.

Rabbit, from the sounds of things, the motor or the gearing for the section in question is shot and you will need to either get a new assembly or see if you can somehow replace the part that is gone.
As for upgrading to memory seats, that is easier said than done. I would need to confirm with the drawings, but you are talking about different harnesses, having to convert over the mirrors (as the mirrors get power from the seat module and the memory mirrors are wired differently). There may be a few other things. I would need to look at the diagrams and see what I can find. Can it be done, of course. But, how are you with wiring modifications?

Rabbit, doing some looking, you are looking at some serious wiring upgrades. Like I mentioned, it can be done. But, I think you are looking at more than you are willing to bite off. The memory seats are dramatically different, not to mention that they are only for the 2004.25 on cars. So, the fuse boxes are different. So, even getting a complete harness is still going to involve a significant amount of time re-wiring stuff between the seat and the computer in the seat.
If you wanted to be brave, you can dismantle the wiring harnesses and move wires around, I just can't garantee that the wiring will be of sufficient size to handle the current for the functions. You would also end up making a custom ground harness for the driver's seat, running a switchable power source to the seat, and wiring up the door switch to the seat.
Giving you a heads up to what all would be involved in something like this. I would consider doing something like this, but then, I bite wires for a living. So, this would not be too far out of my league.
