Default Security issue again (immobilser)

Hi all, as in earlier post for some strange reason my car seems to have lost it's memory. All dash lights come on as normal and some go out correctly. When I turn the key to start.... nothing. The traction light stays on and sometimes flashes and the boot doesn't want to open either. Is there a simple fix for this?
2005 2ltr diesel
Fingers crossed
Cheers
Dave

When you roll key to position #2 (not start) does the MIL (little engine icon) stay lit or does it extinguish?

How old is your battery? Have you confirmed that your battery is good? Might want to have the battery load tested.

Default Now sorted

Thanks for replies. The key lost it's memory. I used the usual method then found the thread doing it with the door open and it's now ok. (well was yesterday fingers crossed when I go out today.
The battery is brand new. I bit the bullet and bought the "lifetime guarantee" at Kwikfit. As I have personal reg it was swapped recently without question even though it was on my fourth Jag and was 8 years old
Sorry about 3 posts it was not intentional
