Default sensor on back of intake? what is it?

hey gang. well i have search high and low on my JTIS, and for the life of me cannot find this sensor listed. or i must really be blind. i have an 03 x type 2.5 . can anyone help me on identifying this piece. what it does. and is there a way to test it. thank you in advance for your time on this. and have a really great day.

MAP sensor(manifold absolute pressure sensor) aka a rats favorite wire flavor

hey brutal. thanks. do you know if there is some way to test this sensor. i unplugged the sensor while the car was idleing and driving and it made absolutely no difference. can this be a sign of this sensor being bad?

What's the 2 sensors on the left of manifold in the pic mine has a loud hiss coming from the top it.

no and dont do that, youll get check engine lights. And when you unplug sensors the ecu looks at other sensors and past reading of that one and makes educated assumption of the reading s its not getting. Youll get a check engine light if theres a problem with that map snensor and no often is there on a xtype

those are not sensors but imts(intake manifold tuning valves), you have a vacuum leak and need to buy 2 green imt orings from a jaguar dealer and change the yellow ones out that are in there. Many many threads on this and dont use anything but the green ones. Theyre only a few $$$

thanks i been trying find out for the longest those where. im having that 3000 rpm shudder problem and from what ive seen i need to change the breather hose as well.

Update. The yellow gaskets were shot it cleared up 0171 0174 codes now just gotta tackle 0455 and were all clear thanks for the quick response
