Any advice on how to separate the block. I have beat on it pretty good but it won't budge. How about heating up to soften the sealer?

 

We need a bit more info in order to offer advice. What are you working on? Make Model Year. What block are you trying to separate? My experience in working on Jag's is if it is stuck then I forgot a fastener somewhere.

 

2004 XJ8 4.2, I have loosened all the bolts. It's 16 years old and is just stuck. I will try a bigger hammer.
