Hi Guys. I am coming up to 90,000 km on my '05 wagon. Any thoughts as to how long the shocks or struts are good for?

 

I just replaced my rears at 101K miles. The fronts are still good, although I think I'll replace them in the next few months anyway....

hmm.. how much did it cost ya to change them? mines are starting to make clicking noises over a bump =/

 

the shocks seem to be decent as far as life.....
any rear clunking is more likely to be sway bar links, sway bar bushings, or one of the links (the one with the swivel joint)

I would do the tried and true bouncy test, before changing them. generally speaking, shocks dont make noises when they are worn. they just stop damping the ride.
If there are noises, look for something else to change.
