Default which shocks to use - how tough is the project

i'm going to replace the shocks all around ... which shocks do you guys prefer to use? how tough is the job of swapping them out?

i've tried to replace the front one's.. it's was pretty difficult b/c of the way they have the bottom of the strut designed.. once you loosen the top bolts it won't simply drop out.. you have to remove the axle so it can fall through. at least that is what i was told.

It's not a difficult job. You do not have to remove the axle, only remove the hub/carrier from the axle. That hardest part of the project is cranking down the spring compressors... which are an ABSOLUTE necessity, if you want to do this without maiming yourself or your neighbors.
