I had no problems. As long as it isn't deep. I did go over dry sand, especially to get to where the picture was taken. Of course you end up with sand everywhere. We ended up using our car as a beach umbrella!

Anyone here whose driven on the beach in Carolla, NC in the outer banks knows how unusual it is for an AWD car to make it

Those wheels are nice, Saleen, What brand/ size are they?

Side question, How did you get the middle part of the doors so glossy? (between the windows)

Nice colour scheme ghettomike, same as mine, Titanium grey with Dove grey interior, I believe they only made Titanium for about 18 months. Here's mine, totally standard apart from the mesh grills.

I have the same color interior, and they look terrific, pain in the neck to clean but such is life. My car is also blue, but much lighter, I think I like my color better. Your wheels are DY O MITE. As the TV character back when use to say. Also, your twin exhaust tips stick out further and are more oval then on my 2.5L. I like yours better I wonder if I could buy those tips and put them on my 03 X type?

Thanks, I dont see many x-types with the same blue I got. I can't remember the name off the top of my head. My exhayst is not stock, I have the borla exhaust system on my cat. So u can deffently swap out your stock exhaust. It sounds better too!

Yours is the only one I have seen in that shade of blue, and I looked at it again after my first post, and it is a sharp color. I was at a local supermarket yesterday, late afternoon and when I got back to the my car a guy parked in the space in front of me. He got out of his car and for 10 minutes kept on telling me how beautiful my cars was. This has happened two perhaps 3 times people doing this. I posted a few weeks back I came out of a Subway Shop and a woman was taking pics of my car with her cell phone and ranting how beautiful the car is, and wanted a pic with me next to it, I nixed that one. Even when I had a Porsche Carrera, only once someday said to me as I was getting into the car what a nice car it was an if I rented it on weekends.

Thanks! I took the advice of Exexpat...those are the Conventry Whitley Silver wheels 19x8.5 I chose the Hankook V12 tires and love them. Then lowered the car with the H&R springs. I just got this car last month from the dealer was pretty well taken care of by previous owner, the car is spotless.

Thanks man, and thank you for your advice and suggestion!

Funny thing happened, I had the car lowered. The next day I had this loud metal on metal sound coming from what I thought was the left rear. It turned out that the left front axle nut came loose bcz the threads got stripped...which caused the bearings to go. $750 bill. I didn't have to pay bcz I just got the car from the dealer and it had warranty so they paid for it.

Eek. It sounds like they removed the entire front hub to get the struts out for the springs. I managed to do so without removing the hub, but it requires compressing the spring while installed in the car. Glad they replaced it for you.

um... New pics?

looks awesome! I had those wheels at first, but rears were 19x10 ET35 with 265/30. I just could not get them to stop rubbing without going to a 235 or something. now I regret selling them.

Could you post a picture of your pioneer head unit? Very curious how the install looks.
