smelly a/c

anybody know what to do my air con stinks when i switch it on and very slowly goes but when i turn it off and go back to vent or heating it stinks again like damp mouldy clothes

I'd try replacing the cabin filter first - make sure it's installed properly or it will allow water intrusion that will cause your problem.

should that have been done on the service as i the cat serviced regularly as the smell has been there for a while
