smoking and a leaking injector
Hi All
Hoping for some guidance, my diesel X Type has become a bit Smokey lately when under pressure to accelerate.
While having a look under the bonnet i noticed a small amount of fuel is collecting around one of the injectors but can’t see where its coming from. Could it just need a tighten? Would the leak no matter how small cause it to over fuel and thus smoke under load? It doesn’t use any oil or water but does need a service.
I have also noticed a dull evenly spaced rhythmic thud when its ticking over which is louder when i pop the bonnet but again have no idea where its coming from or what the sound is any ideas?
