snapped off brake bleeder screw
Attempted to bleed new brake fluid through my xtype ( 2006 ) and started with the front driver . it seemed to be siezed a bit and with a little pressure the bolt sheared off flush with the caliper.
Any one experiance this,
I dont my drilling and tapping the port but i cant even find a new bleeder bolt or the specs for thead tap size.
Where can a a new bolt be purchase, a can any one suggest a good supplier for calipers?
I am certainly not going to dive into the other three cLIPERS UNTIL I SOLVE THIS ONE.
thanks

Since the bleeder snapped off before you got it open, it shouldn't leak or lose pressure so if it were me, I'd leave it alone.
Usually at least whey I've tried to drill them out and then getting them tapped and sealing properly it was pretty difficult so swapping the caliper out with a new or reman one was a better option.
It won't hurt to leave the old fluid in it and drive it, and if you really want to change out the old fluid, you can always just unbolt the caliper and compress the piston all the way and suck the old fluid out of the reservoir. That should get about 90% of it out.

thanks for the replies,
Rock auto is a great source and the only one that seems to have a part listed and availible. cheap too.
Based on the inexpensive caliper prices at rock auto i may just replace the caliper. Im going down in the garage in a few minutes to try and crack the other 3 open.
