Default So I'm mounting the 18" Melbournes with 215/35s

Figured for $300, I could get a decent set of Kumho Ecsta ASTs (all season) and give the craptastic factory BBSs a try. Wow, these things have a 59mm offset. The gutters on my house are closer to my walls than the fenders are to the wheels. Pics in a bit.

40mm spacers?

With those kinds of sunken battleship offsets you should be able to easily tuck rim with the bags.

Jeremy, could you please check the valve stems to see if they have a part number on them? I need to pick up a set for my Melbournes, and don't know which ones to get. Thanks! Knowing the part number (and a picture or two if you wouldn't mind posting them) would help immensely. Thanks in advance!

Here is a bad camera phone pic from my badly lit garage - as promised. Better photos to come tomorrow.

^check the tuck

Matt, there is no PN on the valve stem, sorry.

Edit: this is with 35 PSI in front and 40 in the rear. The front will come down another inch and rear about 2 inches.

I can't believe those are the wheels that came with the car.

No problem, Jeremy. Thanks for looking. When you get around to taking more detailed pics, would you mind taking a close up shot of the installed valve stem for me - at least that will help me visually identify what I should be looking for. Thanks!

Slightly better pics. It hurts to look at factory BBS for me. I think I must change them back. Yuck.

With huge spacers.. Not bad. As it sits now, hell no. Put the sport technos back on!

I could try 50mm spacers in back, but I don't think it's worth it.

Factory BBS again = FAIL.

Agree that they look horrible with your setup. I think they look hella better on a non-lowered, non-tucked car. Big difference:

50mm spacers have to be putting incredible stress on the bearings, hubs, control arms and driveshafts..... anything over 25mm seems like the pretext for a cautionary tale...
thoughts?

I love the wheels, they are actually my favorite ones you have. Unfortunately, the offset is all wrong and it doesn't suit your car with the drop you have. Techno's ftw.

I don't have them yet, I would need to have them built. It isn't worth my time or the $200 it would cost though. These wheels are terrible. I'll give them to the person who buys my car when I sell it in 2 years.

I forgot how high these cars are in stock form. Good lord. They still don't do it for me on that car either.

meh, I've run 40mm spacers for years on the Porsche rear wheels (I even did another 10mm spacer with extended lugs to net 50mm every winter on my C70) - never a problem.

I didn't really understand that. Sounds like my car is the problem and looks like mods are inspired by Pimp My Ride? Thanks, it could be a compliment given you have "Nitrous Oxide" for some reason in your signature and are a fan of Cadillacs.

The Sport Technos are the best of the four options I have - but I also like the staggered 20s.

Oh definitely not worth having them made just for this.. I thought you just had them laying around or something. Is it still winter up there??

THat's really doesn't tuck well. I think after looking at this I am going to look at 25mm spacers.
