Default Sovereign badge

Hi I am new to this forum having just got me a x type sovereign.
My question is, my car although a sovereign does not have a badge on the boot telling the world this!
Personally i have never seen such a badge but on another forum mention is made of new sovereign's coming with a sovereign badge on the boot.
has anyone seen one and if so where might I buy one?
I have of course searched the usual suspects.
Thanks.

SNG Barratt sell them new. Not much of a badge, but Sovereign badgess comes at a sovereign price! £25!

I'd start by asking at Eurojags, the UK specialist Jaguar breakers. Phone - don't email - for an instant answer.

Thank you I think I can live without one at that price. I will try the breakers though!

Hi Henry. I have seen this argument on another forum. Are you saying that the definitive mark of a Sovereign is piped seats? This does of course interest me.

Mine does not have piped seats by the way just white leather.

EDIT. Have just looked at previous posts on this matter." Bit confused my car could be anything".
Does not really concern me as it was bought from an auction and although immaculate was a very good price and runs as it should. At my age I cant see me changing it. I would have liked it to be a genuine sovereign but no matter. It does say sovereign in the log by the way.

I recall some of the discussions about what had happened.
The conclusions I recall were that Sovereign models in the UK have piped seats.

Somehow some similar models (SEs? )were produced and the DVLA were then informed that they were Sovereigns and that was how they were logged.
This might account for your badge not being fitted.

In addition the reverse situation occurred with some Sovereigns not logged as such and some folks going for a correction.

You seem to be happy with your buy so enjoy it.
