Default Spark Plug Change: Bosch IR Fusions

So my car has about 81,000 miles on it and I've had it a few months and it's been feeling kind of sluggish so I decided it was time to change the spark plugs. I found the Bosch IR Fusions on sale on Amazon for $3.50 each after rebate, so I figured that was a pretty good deal since that's about what the platinum plugs cost. They have the +4 tip design like their platinum +4 plugs. I've heard good and bad things about multi-tip spark plugs. Bosch says they're great, NGK say they suck and the regular single tip is better. Bosch claims 5% better fuel economy with their tip design over OEM too, so I figured what the heck, I'd give them a try. Besides I was looking at getting the E3's and they have a 3-tip design...

Well it took about two hours today but it went relatively smooth. It was a lot of work getting the manifold off, but it wasn't ridiculously difficult. I put in the new plugs and put everything back together and hoped for the best when I turned the key, and she fired right up! Seemed to be idling high at first which worried me, around 1500 rpms, but no check engine lights came on and it seemed to be purring so I took it for a short spin. I think my car was still getting used to them though. They were ok, but on my next drive, man I can really feel the difference. The car just idles so much better and feels like it has a lot more power on reserve. I haven't mashed the gas but it feels like it would go over 100mph if I did. Also, I noticed when I was coming to a stop, the car felt more fuel efficient when coasting... It seemed to be running a lot more effortlessly while I was coming to a stop. Overall I am really happy with the plugs. The car feels like it has a new life to it. These were the old plugs at 80k miles (Guessing they are the original plugs). I wasn't sure if they really needed to be changed or not yet without looking at them first, but as soon as I pulled the first one out I was glad I was changing them. They were in pretty rough condition. I don't have a picture of the new plugs but here is a diagram I found. Overall I would definitely recommend these. Iridium's good too because of its long life, changing the plugs in these cars is a pain in the neck. I don't mean to sound like an ad for Bosch fusions, it's just a review.
