Mikeamitch, welcome to the forums. Lots of good information here and tons of friendly people here. We pride ourselves in being a better car group and as part of this, we like to get to know one another and also want to help you learn who makes this place what it is. Please stop by the New Member Section and tell us a little bit about yourself and what get you into a Jaguar.

As for your problem, odds are, you need to take the blue wire on the back of the radio (this should be the remote/amp power wire and attach it to a conversion module to then attach to the D2B cable that you disconnected off the back of the factory radio. The D2B cable is what tells the amp in the back of the car to "wake up" and send a signal out to the speakers. Please keep in mind that I am assuming you have the premium sound system in your car (this would be evident by having subwoofers under the rear parcel shelf and having separate mid and tweeter speakers in the rear of the car). If you don't have subwoofers and the separates in the rear of the car, then you have a standard radio system and that would indicate that the speakers are not wired up properly as this system is powered directly off of the radio and if you are not getting sound, you have something miswired.

If you need further help, let me know. I can send you a diagram. Just let me know if you have the standard or premium sound system. In case you are curious, the amp is mounted in the trunk on the driver's side as I recall behind the trunk trim (if your car is equipped with the premium system).
