stale air smell

Default stale air smell
when I run the ac I sometimes get a stale air smell. Will replacing the cabin filter cure this? Can you add a sent/air freshener to the filter box?

I have had the same problem and replacing the cabin filter seems to help. Also, you might just be better off getting some fresheners and putting them under your seat

The cabin filter is supposed to be renewed every 10k Miles.
