New to the forum and x-type ownership, but a veteran Brit car owner...XJS, MG's (3), Healeys (2), Triumph, etc. My 2003 2.5 liter automatic occasionally spins the starter, grinds really, and then on the next crank will start right up. I'm thinking neutral safety switch, but when i hold the gear lever hard against the top of the park position, it will still do it. Starter? Solenoid? any thoughts? I'm taking it in Friday, but wondering if anyone has dealth with this.
