I am looking to get a set of snowies for the winter and looking for a set of Jaguar compatible steel rims - I contacted the local dealer and they wanted $210 a steel rim (16 inch) - I currently have 17 inch alloys on and want to preserve them from salt/sand/snow and the harshness of a Canadian winter - I read in another forum that some ford taurus steel rims are compatible - if anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear !

If the Taurus is the same as a Mondeo (UK) then there compatible I believe.

 

how many miles on those tires racer? and how bout a pic?

tires have about 300 miles on them! I'll get some pics later on.

 

'05 X 3.0L - "cayman" 17x7 alloys - car had 40k km on it - originally a southern US car - bought it in Oakville - fully loaded with all the trimmings - was looking for cheap-o alloy or steel rims - either 16' or 17' to fit (yet to be bought) winter tires.

Checking the local tire shops today to get quotes - something has to be better than the Jag dealer prices.
