Default Strange noise

Hi, I have developed a strange noise whilst driving, it is most apparent at 40-above, it is a low tone whine which increases with speed and doesn't stop when I move out of gear, so I'm guessing something to do with wheels ( bearings etc) or drive shafts, I think I can feel it through the steering wheel also. But maybe that is paranoia! Any thoughts?
Regards
Devlin

Propeller Shaft center support bearing are notorious for these kind of noises.

Thanks DPK, appreciate your input, it does sound like a bearing moaning, it's just a question of finding it, as you obviously can't hear it when you are stationary. I could maybe live with it and fix when it becomes apparent exactly where it is coming from, but you want everything right don't you?
Regards

Devlin...You may want to crawl under and give the shaft on both halves a heave-ho side to side and front to back to see if you can notice any play or movement. It should be solid.
