Sucks having a nice car!
Yeah with airbrushing words nor pictures can describe. To someone whom doesn't know anything about airbrush you'd look at the picture and be like look at there paint someone took a spray can to it! I guarantee though that that car looks sweet in person....those pics do no justice plus he's got it dropped and the body kit dropped makes the rims and the car kind of look funny! By the way thought you didn't like those rims? Remember when I posted the pic? The pic below is with the 18's and I wanted the 19's but the only ones they have are 8.5" wide SUCK (my way of saying darn it!)

I said that the rims that looked like they came off of a chevy I didn't like, and I'm not a big fan of chrome, but the lip on the rims you should me was nice, and I LOVE lips on a rim!
But won't the 8.5's rub??? I want to be able to have people in the back seat and not have to worry about that kind of crap! If they are 8.5 wide I'd only be able to go with the 18's, what if I rolled the lip as you all have stated?
well they are 38mm offset, thats the same as i have so yea you'll get some rub. My only recomendation is if possible go with 35 ratio tires, i have 40's, i can have people in the back, but on a hard bump, ill get a rub. But my back seat is still useable. Rolling the fenders seems like a great idea, i am going to do that next as soon as i can line up a spot to do it well. ill let you know if it eliminates my rubbing issues.
Hey somekid, if your rubbing with 8's i'd love to see what 8.5's would do! I'd probably have to go with a 225 series tire with a 1/2 inch of rim exposed! I'm not so keen on that idea, I'll just have to search harder for some others!
Hey fan of alba and found these 19's that would fit! Not too bad of a deal and I know they are good quality rims.

even with a 225 tire, the 8.5 still rub if you have people in the back, but they are good if you dont have people. The time it rubs most is with people in the back and taking a turn or going over bumps. id reccomend going with a 215 tire, although it will be pretty streched. Look good, but have to be carefull with potholes
With the car here in Michigan I won't be going with 8.5. I'll stick to finding one with a 7.5 when the time comes. I won't put anything on except a 225, not just for the rim but for the look as well...not to mention Michigan is known for crappy roads!
I mentioned this before in another post, but I tried looking for some nice 19x7.5 wheels and had no luck. I settled for some 19x8's with some 215/35/19 Nitto Neo Gentires, although this setup didnt rub (even with people in the back) it didnt protect the rim at ALL and the ride felt rough & unstable especially on sharp turns! I hit a pothole in San Francisco and tore both of my right tires and luckily did not bend my rims. These are photos of the 215/35/19's; I didnt like how the tire looks stretch. It's more for imports than Jags.

I replaced all 4 of my tires w/ 225/35/19 Mastercraft Avenger ZHP's and they fill out the rim perfectly, closes up the wheel gap,and the ride is a 110% better! I will post some pics this weekend. The new setup 19x8 w/ 225/35/19's rub on bumps and with people in the back, but I wouldnt go back or suggest 215/35/19's for you. 225's w/ an 8" diameter wheel will work.

Gotti, just be careful on turns with people in the back, when i went to 225's i thoght i wudnt rub when it was at stock height, but it did a lot. it u take the turn real slow, it doesnt rub, but kinda makes the AWD a little pointless haha
Hey aquiller, could you do a couple of tests of the stock rims before you go bigger and tell me how the stopping power difference is? I want rims, but apart from the money, something that has me pretty scared is; Is the car going to stop like it did before...If not, then how much is the difference?
bigdreams, the stopping power has changed when I installed the 19's. I'm looking to upgrade to some EBC slotted rotors & pads soon to compensate for the larger wheels &diameter.
Here are the pics of the new tires I promised. These were taken w/ my cell phone so I apologize for the quality. As you could see from my old pics; the wheel well gap has been decreased and the tire covers the wheel perfectly.

I think the redstuff pads are the way to go. Brakes & Rotors are on the bottom of my to-do list since I got them check at the Jag dealer and they said the the pads & rotors were still at 90%.
