Suspension too soft, time to change?

Suspension too soft, time to change?
Does anyone here have any experience on doing a suspension job on the x-type?
This may be the last "summer" project before fall/winter. I hear a slight creaking sound when I push down on my rear suspension. Does anyone know of a DIY or any tips/needs of special tools? And anyplace to get decent parts?
Thanks

sure, they are strieght forward if you've done shocks before, get some stiff ones though. Bilstein HDs are very stiff and still comfortable. They will change your cars handling dramatically for the better. Shockwarehouse.com has good price and customer service, i dealt with them twice.

Hey 1st I'm sure you can.......I've read lots of posts about this being done. The Sport ride is so much better for the handling of the car and you still get a smooth ride too.
Like I said, I'm sure somekidz, nineball amongst a few others here have done it and will no doubt reply to you as soon as they can.

1st jag, if your going for OEM sports, get the springs too as they are a different hieght and changing shocks alone will cause premature wear. Its not alot of money, a few quick google searchs and you'll be able to get all OEM parts for under 600.
Tokyo, the stocks are bilstiens, just the "comfort" series. the sport uses the "touring" series i believe, then you can go up even harder to the "heavy duty" series. but they are all bilstiens. ; )

I forgot to mention, you asked for any special tools needed. Make sure you get a spring compressor. If you don't, expect to go to the hospital really soon. I had one and almost had my hand chopped off, and that's with my buddy Josh helping me out. That spring is in there with A LOT of pressure.

Jag_genius gave me a price of 200 for both rears as my car is doing the same thing 1st. My rears squeak when you go over small bumps or unequal pavement or get in or out of the car...go here and read this as this was our conversation about what the problem could be...I still think it is in the shocks though...oh yeah 200 plus 20-30 for shipping...

Thats cool I wasn't worried but even better to know now! I already told him I'll be buying some shocks in the very short near future but I think I may need to fix my front end noise first...steering wheel kind of has a slight wobble but I could just be delusional but I'd rather wait on shocks and fix my vital front end parts...hate for a wheel to fall off because of a stupid ball joint, tie rod or some other piece in the front...i'll have to see if he can get a hold of whatever I need in the front end first...
