Tape Auto-eject

Tape Auto-eject
Hey Guys,
Does anyone know if it is possible to disable the tape auto-eject feature on the X-Type stereo? I play my iPod through a cassette adaptor and every time I shut the engin off, I have to push the tape back in. It gets to be a pain when I'm running errands and have to keep parking. Thanks

RE: Tape Auto-eject
My tape adaptor has been in my player for about a year and never come out..
I for sure dont have auto eject. I have an 02 with the in dash tape player and trunk CDC.
I did eventually get an ACM for my Ipod, and it works ok. not terribly expensive if you install it yourself. I use the tape adaptor for my cellphone.. to work as a hands free.

I had the same problem initially. I found out that the tape player will spit out the tape adapter if the IPOD is notin the process of playinga song at the time you put it in, and it seems to like one side of the adapter better than the other. Flip the adapter over and try again, and press play on the IPOD before you stick it in. Mine works fine now, and actually it sounds really good (IPOD shuffle).
