THe x type is a awesome car, i think, i havnt had any mechanical issues, she starts up in -50 celcuis weather, and +32 celcious two, she'll walkk by any big truck when we get a foot of snow in a hour, and shes tight as nails, of course things will need repari, but with cars being electronic these days, and more automated, what do u expect.

Sure a maxima, is bigger, more powerful, more economical, but honeslty, if u plan on getting a a car like jaguar, mercedes, bmw, audi you gotta think, these cars arn't like ur everyday chevy.

The 07 X is a very nice car.. All the bugs have been worked out after the 02-03 model years. And as long as you take care of it, it will take care of you.

Is this X being bought from a local Jaguar dealer? If so then it will come with the select warranty that is good thru 2013.

The Maxima is great car, I also own a 09 Murano SL and it has been great so far. The 3.5 v6 in the Maxima is quicker then the 3.0 in the X, its reliable too as long as you take care of it.

The one issue about the maxima is the CVT transmission. They tend to go with high miles and its expensive to fix. If you go with the Maxima make sure it has the 10yr 100k warranty on the trans from Nissan.

Style wise, I would go with the X.. Its nicer looking..

Performace wise I would go with the Maxima..

Take good care of either and you will be in great shape for many yrs to come.

it seems you have gotten the Nissan due to the no replys back.

Its a good choice if you are poor like me!! The Jaguar will cost alittle more to maintain.
