Default Thank you everyone!!

I just want to give a quick thankyou to everyone here. Since I bought it and fixed all the major issues it has been a total joy to drive. It has been super reliable and rides like a dream. I still have a few little cosmetic things I need to address to get to where I want it to be, new headliner, bonnet cable for the passenger side, and defrost vents.

I originally bought it to flip but fell in love with it and I sold off my daily driver instead. I have learned a ton about her from here. I am totally in love with my x-type.

Happy Motoring !!!

I too am recently introduced to the X-Type and fixing it up. They do get to you quickly. You are lucky you have a better than average knowledge of car repair. They can be expensive to have a service shop work on them.

Thanks,
I enjoy working on vehicles and it has saved me a ton of money over the years. The previous owner did not really take care of her and it's rewarding to see the transformation back to her former glory.

These ARE great cars and they are a great bang for the buck and fly under the radar. So much to like about them it is no wonder so many people have an affection for them once they own them. Will always have a soft spot for the one I had. Hope that whomever ended up with mine is taking good care of her and is enjoying it. If anyone is in the Madison, WI area bought a gray 2005 3.0 liter manual Sport with Aruba wheels and the carbon fiber dash early last fall I would love to hear how you are getting on.

I've had my X 6 years, bought it with 80k miles. Just the other day I was remarking to myself how the car fits me like a glove. The most expensive repairs I've had is the AC and Throttlebody. I've lowered it and spaced out the wheels, custom exhaust, and she runs great. These forums are a goldmine of info. I'm by no means a mechanic, but I've been able to keep my X in tip top condition using the forum.
