I've been noticing there are quite a few people on this x-type forum from around Chicago.

Those of you that use radar detectors know that X-Band radar is almost never used anywhere. I have my RD set to Low-X, so it only goes off on X-band when the source is really close and has a high alert. X-band usually falses so this works out well to get rid of almost all x-band falses for me.

The other night I was coming home from work (Naperville, IL), I drove past a police officer driving towards me in the opposite lane in traffic using an X-Band gun. I wasn't speeding at the time, but this almost gave me a heart attack because I thought no one used x-band around me. Plus in naperville, I've only gotten Ka radar, never even K band.

So just wanted to warn fellow chicago members to be aware that x-band is being used.

even though i have know idea what you are talking about with the radar detection stuff
I would buy a radar thing if i ever got my x-type above 40 mph. and when i do hit lake shore drive i never stray past 50 mph.
