Hi can anybody help, I have been trying to buy a throttle position sensor for my 2.1 ltr v6 X type and have been told that it is only available in the U.K. as part of a throttle body at big money from Jaguar. U.S.A. websites list Motorcraft CX1493 as being the same as F48F9B989AB is there any reason why this part would not suitable? secondhand units sell for about the same as the new price of this component including shipping and tax from the U.S.A.

 

bonzai, look on a website like Alibaba. They have them there. Unfortunately, the TPS has never been released as a separate item. So, you are either stuck buying a used unit or getting the whole throttlebody. But, there have been a few people that have gotten the specs for the unit and had a bunch made and are then reselling them. But, you will only find it on a site like Alibaba.
