is it normal that, with the key in the run position and the engine off, I hear a continuous steady hum from the throttle body?

Yeah I think this is normal, happens to me also. I think its just the sound of electronics of the Throttle Body being active (from the accessories being on) that causes the hum. You can even press on the gas pedal if you want to hear your TB open and close haha.
