Default Thud Sound When Braking

Well like the title states I have a slight sound from under the driver's side footwell area when I brake. I also get this same sound when I accelerate. It sounds as if something may be loose and is just hitting the bottom of the floor. It is very minor and may be better regarded as a creaking more then a thud from say a door or hood closing. I just put my summer tires on and gave the front suspension a relatively complete going over. This once over exposed no major faults. I have to admit I only was able to notice one bolt in that area and it appeared to be where the front sub framed bolted up with the rest of car. Could the sound be the result of the bushings having some play in them....

Any ideas???

THANX

Default

Turned out it was the control arm on the drivers side that caused the clunking sound I was having..
