Anybody know how fast the 3.0L goes untill the fuel cut off kicks in?? Just wondering.....thought i ask before trying...

Well I found out and for your information it's 121 mph! Really sucks to get blown away by a 2.5 Nissan whose governor kicks in at 145!

Took it out myself on a long back road.........sucks to be blown away by a nissian that you took off the line up till 110, then he pulls away!

That's strange... my got my 02 2.5 to 130 mph (thanks for I-44 toolway in OK) and that wasnt the top speed yet.. still had room under the pedal..

 

I think if PCM tune is enabled then say good bye to speed limiter .

 

I had mine go over 121

 

Got mine to 130 once, but that was a little downhill, every other time it cuts out at about 124mph

 

I've yet to test my car past 130, but it got there rather easy!

 

The S type is a bit different. I think they are set at 135. The X is 121. As of now, there still is nothing out to remove the speed limiter. The The S type has more performance options for removing and updating the ECM, Vers the X type which cost a small fortune and still doesn't remove the limiter...

 

I heard that there was a tune up program for the diesel X Types that disables the speed limiter and give extra 20 HP .Approximately one hour ago, I talked to one of mechanics who prepares racing engines for the teams and official Mossellman dealer told me thathe will get a new PCM program which will be available for Jaguars and other leading car makers in two months .

 

Oh yeah, i forgot about the X type Diesels. Yeah they have a good ECU kit...

Hey, for some reason I've been getting a lot of double posts too! Tonight I'll be going out to the races and I'll test my top speed!

My jag when around a buck 30 as 04 stated but it cut off after that....it did get up there quite effortless and had some more but oh well....don't need to go that fast anyways!

When you guys double post does the screen freeze and than you re-type what you typed??? That is my guess because mine takes forever and I just refresh the screen and paste what I typed if the screen freezes....

 

When you went 130, did u still have a couple thousand rmps to spare, cos i know i did, i want to see how much more mph i can get using them

 

When I hit 130 I still had about 1500 rpms to go....IN 4TH GEAR!!!!!!!!! That's what pisses me off! I have more RPMS and ANOTHER WHOLE GEAR!

 

When im in 4th at 125 im little under 6k, so i feel the same pain.

 

Well, last night I ended up going to go watch 28 weeks later...really good by the way...so I didn't go to Towers nor Okeechobee to the races so I couldn't test the top speed. I'll try and do so next weekend!
