TPS re elignment issues
I was a noob and took my tps out to clean without marking it first. I have the tps idle resistance set to about 1.03 I thought that was the universal setting for most cars i was obviously wrong. My car starts jerking really hard with 50 to 60% throttle to the point where i have to let off the gas.
Is there a method using a multi meter after a hard restart to re-elign a tps?
Its a 2003 x type 2.5l

Ranger, with the engine off, but the key in the RUN position, you want to adjust the TPS such that the voltage on the multimeter is at 0.99 VDC. At 1.00, the ECM thinks the throttle body is opening. Less than 1.00 VDC, the ECM assumes the throttlebody is shut. For maximum throttle response, you want the TPS set as close to 1.00 as possible without going into 1.00 at any point (taking into account potential variables). Hence why I say to set it to 0.99.
