Default Transfer Case Oil Seals

There are two oil seals that are under the large shaft inside the transfer case. They are FORD stamped but have a Jaguar part number: 1X4W-7H480-BA. Does anyone have a cross reference for this part number? We are in 2017 and I imagine some type of solution has popped up over the years.

These two seals are not to be confused with the notorious input shaft "internal" seals that are part #: SKF 10181 26x48x8

The dimensions of the two seals are 2.830" OD x 2.375" ID x 0.240" THICK.

Thank you for the advice in advance.

Your best bet is to source from a company that sells bearings and seals of all shapes and sizes. I would just google it, and see if you can find any in your area. You should be able to give them the Jaguar part number, or they should at least be able to size them up if you can find a local company. Otherwise you'll need to give them the dimensions.

Went through this several years ago when trying to rebuild the transfer case, there were 2 bearings that couldn't be sourced at the time. The independent I was working for, we had a supplier called Auckland Bearing, who attempted to source overseas, and couldn't find a match. We just had a machine shop machine casing to fit larger bearing to proceed with rebuild.

Since I'm not living in the USA anymore, not sure who's around. Saeco is another popular place here in NZ, not sure if they are available over seas.

Google is your friend in this case....

Thank you Dell Gailey! That link should help once I have it apart. I will take the broken one out of the car and disassble it so I can get the dimensions. I also want to see what failed before I tear into the good unit out of the parts car.
