Transmission
And? .... your transmission has probably suffered the early JATCO506E problem of a cracked reverse piston. The later units were strengthened, which is no help to you. So you do need to see a transmission specialist - and they will be familiar with this unit; the same transmission was used in several makes besides Jaguar: VW, Mazda, SEAT, Land Rover..., and they all suffered the same problem on the early units.
Sov when I put it in reverse I hear the click of the transmassion but it won't move forward it goes and shift perfect all those specialist each one is saying different thing no one knows what the probleme is they want to rebuilt the whole transmassion and it is costly $6000 dollars
The first thing you should do is to google "JATCO506E problems, reverse piston" There you will find access to information that will help you to understand what may have happened. Depending upon the number of kilometres on this transmission, you might be ready for a complete rebuild (but this cannot cost $6000), or you may be able to just have the broken part replaced, along with a fluid change.
