Hello.I have Jaguar X-type 3.0 2001.I need dump from 29F400BC labeled J306 module TCM 1X43-72401-BE JF506E automatic transaxle that I have error.Modulul error P1638 = EEPROM MCU = SAK-C167CR-LM and communicate with ECU by CAN.Thanks.

 

Did you resolve this?

I have a TCM that is unresponsive with corrupt data. Would wish to virginalize it.

"DO A HARD REBOOT YOU HAVE TO DISCHARGE THE CAPACITORS IN THE ECU (ALL ECUS, TCU, etc.) AND TO CORRECTLY DISCHARGE A CAPACITOR WHICH IS NOTHING MORE THAN A BATTERY YOU HAVE TO GIVE IT A PATH TO GROUND. TO DO THAT DISCONNECT THE NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL FROM THE BATTERY AND MOMENTARILY TOUCH IT TO THE STILL CONNECTED POSITIVE, THIS GIVES ALL THE CAPACITORS A PATH TO GROUND AND WILL ERASE ALL VOLATILE MEMORY.(CK ENGINE LIGHT CODES ARE STORED IN NONVOLATILE SO THEY NO LONGER ERASE THIS WAY);

If this does not fix your problem, the TCU has failed and needs replacement. A VERY much smaller cause is a wiring harness failure (chaffed, broken).

Normal careful driving usually accomplishes this without the involved driving pattern.
