Morning to all,
I brought this 02 X-Type Automatic car as is from an auction. It has 149,914 miles on it. I had to charge the battery and when I did it cranked right own up.


Maintenance preformed so far:
6 new spark plugs
6 new colils
IMT orings
Upper and lower gaskets
Coolant
Front and back windshield
New cabin and air filter




Yesterday I cranked the car up and attempt to drive the car to the gas station for gas and air in tires; HOWEVER CAR WENT INTO LIMP Mode with yellow engine light and the RED transmission exclamation mark came up on dash.


When I perished the accelerator the car cut off. So I put the car in park, waited a couple of minutes and the car cranked up but remained in LIMP mode. This happened about 5 times because I had to move the car to the side.


I was able to put the car in reverse, drive, and all other gears fine; but I noticed my temperature gauge began to rise. I should mention I did not have a lot of gas in the car. But I did crank the car and let it run for a couple of minutes before I put the car in drive.


While moving the car it began to vibrate and it was shifting hard. I also heard a knocking or ticking noise as well.




Now this morning I put more gas in the tank. Tried to cut the car on put I the engine turned but did not crank up. A couple of times the car cranked but shut off immediately.


I plugged up my Bluetooth diagnostic tool with Torque and got these codes:
P301- Cylinder 1 Misfire
P302 Cylinder 2 Misfire
P1316 Unknown Code
P0778- Solenoid "B" Electrical
P1796 Vehicle Speed Circuit Short to Ground
