I bought my 04 X-Type last year mainly as a weekend car. I have not driven it much since then. I have noticed, though, a strange feel when the car shifts in lower gears -- not a buck but perhaps a hesitation or a quick downshift at times. I at first thought it was just the way the car was made, but now I am wondering if the car has ever had the transmission serviced. It is at 60K miles. I am nowhere near a Jag dealer. Can anyone suggest what I need to have done for the car to service the transmission? What fluid and filter can be used? Thanks for your assistance!
