TREE SAP ON CAR! what do I use to remove it?
Did you try tar removers ? May be such products may work .
BTW, an old school method , just boil a water and pour it onto the hood and gently pull the sap out of hood

Actually it says online to use that as well...says make sure you wash the car and add wax to wherever you applied it to though...also says alcohol, mineral spirits (paint thinner???) and other weird things on-line...me personally I'd use some hot water or some goo b gone just try in an inconspicuous area first...

I had applied some tar removers onto the chrome trim (rocker molding) and it quickly got the smudge off easily w/o dealing too much .

Yeah I thought it was crazy to use mineral spirits/paint thinner, alcohol and a bunch of harsh chemicals...I'd just use some hot water and be careful and see if I couldn't just use a finger nail and than wash and wax her up...I won't lock it up as this seems to be a very lively post...
PS the first freaking post I lock gets back unlocked I suck at being a moderator![:'(]

Hey Quil, not trying to overrule mate...LOL! It's all in good spirit. Just hard to leave the post locked at...USE TAR REMOVER ON YOUR PAINT! LMAO! I like the clay bar and then the fingernail idea. Turned out to be a nicely debated thread.

Try WD 40 will take bugs right off,or baking soda and some water, will do same!!!!!
