Two problems (headlight and DPF Light) + and observation
Hi
Thanks for the welcome.
First the two problems:-
1, Headlight bulbs last appox a month. luckily the drivers side so its the easier to change one.
Noticed on the back of the cover are two mold marks one with rubber cover/tube and clear and a second which is blocked wondered if this should be clear to help cooling? So may open to see if this helps lifespan.
Also read somewhere - so someone else's suggestion - to use CPU grease? will need to check electrical conductivity first but does seem to make sense.
2, A little more strange for the 2nd one. noticed a red light flashes when i drive over bumps, when i have looked in the hand book it says this light is for the DPF and if on needs attention. The problem is that its a petrol engine?
Any help/thoughts/suggestions/insights with the above appreciated.
the observation - i shouldn't have read the post on mpg that i did! I thought i was doing well as i had nursed it - from purchase up to 22.3 to the gallon currently dropped back to 21.7 due to sitting in roadworks a lot at the mo. got depressed when i read of 30's. I currently do approx a round trip of 50 miles a day to work. A mixture of town and country so mixture of road speeds and traffic. i know i should get a little less running on the lpg but 30's still seems like a dream.
and just a comment the sat nav lady is very polite but why wont she help me where i am and not tell me i have to get to the route she has decided and obviously i should already be there?
Again thank for any suggestions
Dez
