Default Under Hood Gasket Replacement

I was advised to inspect/replace the following gaskets when my plugs are changed:
  • Intake manifold gasket
  • Valve cover gaskets
  • Throttle body intake gaskets
  • IMT gaskets
I have a few questions regarding these parts and where to source them. I’ve never owned a vehicle for longer than three years/80,000 miles, so these sorts of things are new to me.

I found these intake manifold gaskets from Parts Geek. Which is the correct set to order? I’m a little confused as to why the two brands’ gaskets are shaped differently. Also, these appear to be the “lower set” shouldn’t there also be an “upper set” to replace?

I found these throttle body gaskets. Again, same questions as above. Which is correct?

This was the one valve cover gasket set I found. I’m assuming this is the correct part to order?

I wasn’t able to find the IMT gaskets on Parts Geek, but perhaps I’m searching incorrectly.

Thanks everyone. I feel like such a car newbie again!

Hi rjs5689,

I'm new to Jag ownership as well - seems like a fun zoo to live in :-)

I know that people have used the Felpro gaskets on here for various bits - but my understanding (from my son who owns an auto repair / specialty shop) is that the quality of the FelPro stuff is not what it used to be.

I'm ordering an number of gaskets (mostly from RockAuto.com) and I've been leaning toward the Victor Reinz stuff myself (which people on here have also used). It's a mid priced gasket - so some cost savings but not the cheapest stuff around.

This includes both upper and lower sets at $39.79 - it's listed under Lincoln LS 3.0 V6, but it's the same as our engine (per info on this board)
VICTOR REINZ Part # MS19342 Material: Victo-Tech
Intake Manifold Gasket Plenum Gasket Includes Plenum Gasket

For the valve covers $63.79 (also listed under that model and engine Lincoln):
Engine : Valve Cover GasketRelated Parts
*** THIS APPEARS TO BE INCORRECT ***
VICTOR REINZ Part # VS50413 {#COMBINATION} Material: Victo-Tech
Valve Cover Gasket Includes Grommets & Spark Plug Tube Seals

As for the IMT seals - I'm still searching this board myself.

Chris / Thermo / anybody else - if you could confirm that this information is not wrong that would be excellent - don't want my inexperience with Jags to mislead anyone.
