Angry Unlock button on FOB for X type 2002 does not work

I have an issue with the unlock button on my X tyoe 2002. I bough the car about 2 weeks ago. II have taken apart the FOB and realized the circuitboard for the unlock button is not moving like the other three buttons. I bought another FOB with uncut key on ebay ( I think it was). The circuitry on the new FOB works fine, attempted to pair it according to a couple of you tube videos, but still not working. It is annoying not to be able to open the doors remotely. Any ideas anyone?

Have you checked that you have the battery inserted correctly. When I changed the battery in mine the little clip (shaped like a chickens wishbone ) was not in correctly.

I did, I took apart both FOB, I have tried with both the old battery as well as the new, granted it is possible that they put an old battery in the new FOB before they sent it but I tried pushing down on all 4 buttons on the FOB and all but the unlock button gives in a little bit, the unlock button is not moving at all.

You should feel the micro switch contact on all 4 buttons. Heavy pressure should not be required.

I do feel the micro switch on three of the four buttons. I did get a circuitboard with the FOB I bought online, all four buttons on that circuitboard work fine. I have tried to move that circuitboard over to the old key, but I can not pair the new circuitboard with the old key.

Not to be obtuse, but see this to assure paring fob (locks, etc. ) on any key fob. Even switching unpaired lower portion of a fob, mated to existing correct key (& immobilizer circuit in top portion).

I have looked at this video too, I did not get any kind of sounds from the FOB or from the car during the process. I think I tried with both circuitboards with no success, seems like at least the one with all buttons working should be able to be paired.
