The upper hose pipe just left of the tee split(hair line crack) opens up at 3000 rpm, at first I thought it was the "o" ring in the connection but I replaced the "o" ring and seen the crack. I had just put in a new thermostat and housing a month ago( about 500 miles) but I got a new one with the new assembly as one piece. pretty easy job, If any body wants a thermo w/ brand new gasket and housing drop a thread w/ an address I'll contact you.On the way home from dealer I blew the timing belt on my PT cruser, sat on the road waiting for a tow for three hours, good thing it's a non interference engine, bright spot in a crappy day
