The other day I got my official Jaguar Warranty Card in the mail and a booklet explaining the Certified Pre-Owned warranty which says it's covered for 6 years and 100,000 miles .

I bought the car "as is" from the Jag dealer not knowing it would be covered till 2017 and/or 213,000 miles.

Oh, Happy Day!

Wow! That sound slike quite a nice bonus. I'm surprised a Jaguar dealer would not have mentioned that as it seems like it would be an excellent selling point, especially for a car that old. Does what you received say you ARE covered or that you are ELIGIBLE to be covered. If it's the latter it's something tehy sent out to new owners to sign up for teh extended warranty.

 

Check to make sure, owning a Certified Jaguar (whose warranty is about to end) my understanding of the coverage is 6 years or 100K miles since the car was originally put into service (i.e., delivered for purchase or lease).

What year is your car? If it is 2005 or earlier I'd suspect that a mistake has been made and that you won't really have the coverage you think you have.

Call a dealer and give them your VIN they can then check and confirm/deny your coverage.

pab is correct, the Jaguar Select Edition warranty just extends the new car warranty to 6 years OR until the vehicle reaches 100,000 miles. If your new Jag already has 113,000 miles, I doubt any warranty would be from Jaguar directly.
