Default Water pipe leak o ring

Hi gents.

I am having, presumably, the same issue as here:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x-type-x400-14/04-3-0-coolant-leak-left-side-engine-between-cyl-banks-46404/

I want to replace the offending o-ring myself, but i can’t figure out which one it is in the diagram. Any help greatly appreciated. I think it might be ring number “2” but I am. It sure. Please take a look :

G'day Spike,

In your diag the part labelled #1 does not fit into the part labelled #7, this part does, P/N C2S16877, (see pic below) and it doesn't appear on the parts diag, which is odd.

Stop press! I found it and the 'O' ring here https://parts.jaguarlandroverclassic.../brand/jaguar/
The fitting in my pic is #1 and the 'O' ring is #18

Mine leaked so I undid the one bolt at the top and replaced the 'O' ring with one from a spares kit I had, it was a generic 'O' ring and not Jag specific. I did this repair several years ago and it hasn't leaked since.

The local Jag steelership wanted over $350.00 to fix it and I reckon it cost me less than a dollar to fix it myself.

Cheers,
Jeff.

Thank you for your replies. I found all the o-rings in the area, but I am not entirely sure which one is leaking though. @Dell Gailey , I am assuming 18 is the one that was leaking?

I ordered 8,9 and 18

8= XR85353

9=XR85356

18=C2S22458

Is it necessary to drain the coolant as indicated in the other topics?

thanks!!
