Wheel size for X-Type 3.0L SE 4dr (June 2001)
Hi,
I have an X-Type 3.0L SE 4dr (June 2001).
The Driver's Handbook (JJM 10 02 20/15) says: 16" alloys or 17" alloys. I bought the car with 18" alloys. Does that mean that the 18" alloys are NOT the recommended size by Jaguar for this particular X-Type 3.0L SE 4dr, please?
Thanks in advance,
Alexandre

You are correct in that Jaguar only lists 16 and 17 inch rims in the Owner's Handbook however, if the 18 inch tire diameter is the same as a 16 or 17 inch tire, you should be ok. The 18 inch "Aruba Cast Alloy Rims" where offered on the Sports Premium models.

Jaguar offered 18" wheels for the X-Type, all of them 7.5" wide. As long as the total diameter (of the tire fitted on the wheel) stays the same as originally intended, it should matter little.

Is there a UK excerpt for the 18" wheel, please? If so, in which Owner's Handbook, please?
