Im looking to add on an oemtrunk spolierfor my 2003 x type. Ican not find anything on ebay, and do you really trust the double-sideded tape that these aftermarket brands give to to actually hold up??

Automotive double sided tape (usually 3M) is used on virtually all cars for door moulds, etc
Prepare the area thoroughly before applying and it will be OK

 

We had put a huge spoiler on my SUV and considerin the size the spoiler had I believe 3M works good along w/ the adhesive promoter

Try this link, has some good stuff for lower then dealer prices...I bought the trunk spoiler from this site. I had it painted to match for about $85. Two bolts and some tape hold it on!

 

I bought a sport spoiler for my A6 from Thialand for £49 delivered to my door and painted to match off Ebay.
The delaer wanted around £350 + to supply paint n fit[&:][&:][&:]
It came with 3m tape already in place and it was a case of peel n stick.
I asked the dealer on my next service to check on the basis that I got it supplied n fitted from another dealer and wasn't happy with it. They checked and verified a good paint match and a good install.....lol
I took it as a nice compliment and was well pleased......Go do it.
