Where would the tcm be in my particular car?
05 x type American version.
I had a gearbox fault that the dealer claimed was a couple of switches, but I'm a little sceptical.
I want to check the tcm for water but I'm not sure exactly where it's located in my car.
Is it under the dash or near the motor?

if you are in the car facing the front (as if you were driving) you will see a bracket and small box on the left hand side under the dash. It is held in by one bolt on the top and one (or maybe 2?) bolts on the bottom. Its near the fuse/relay on the outside wall.
when you check the TCM also check the wire harness that plus into the TCM!
