whistleing jag x
I have a 2004 jag x 3.0 and when I accelerate slow I hear whistling sound inside the cabin between 25 and 30 mph only and when I accelerate fast I don't hear anything any help appreciated thanks.
sest, take a look on the outside of the car for any loose trim, especially around the windshield. It is possible that you are getting something to whistle on you. Problem area that I have found is the trim piece between the support structure that goes up and over the doors and the roof metal. There is a 1" wide piece that slides in there and if that comes loose, can generate noises. But, you will also need to check the trim around the windows and also the trim near the bottom of the doors. It won't take much of a gap to make a whistle, so, use a keen eye when attempting to spot possible issues.
Another trick I would tell you to do is to get a second person to drive the vehicle for you as you sit in the other seats with your eyes closed. You can get an idea of where the noise is coming from, which will help you focus your attention on a specific part of the car, vice having to look over the whole car.
Hope this helps you out.
