Windshield sealer?
As I closely inspect my windshield, I can see that the rubber "seal" on the sides is cracking and likely letting water in slowly, which would probably start a rust issue in a terrible spot.
I am thinking of sealing the windshield with grey silicone sealant (used in aquariums, highly effective).
Anyone done this? Anyone had windshield related rust issues due to NOT doing this?

They make an automotive sealer just for this. It is thin, and seeps in the cracks, and usually stops any problems, before they start. It is also much better looking than silicone.....Be cool......Mike
Thanks for the replies.
I'll look into the sealer and check with Safelite. It's not the windshield itself, but the rubber that keeps water out of the bodywork. I don't know what it's called, but I'm getting it sealed somehow.
