Default Winter SNOW!

Here in VA we just got hit big. I just came back from the movies and there was a layer of powder, enough to make some cars stuck. However my 03 Xtype with all season tires was able to make it home without a sweat!!! I was driving easier than folks in SUVs!!!

My wife and I were out in the Escape this evening (we left long before the snow started), so the Jag had been sitting for at least 24 hours prior to the snowfall beginning. This proved fortuitous, because it allow the snow to accumulate evenly on the car, creating a beautiful sight. I'm in the midst of compiling a photo album.

There's about 6" on the ground right now here in Southern Maryland with the weather station calling for another 4-16". Bring on the snow!!!!!!!!! I love this. They are even calling for high winds which is going to create blizzard conditions. Weeeeeeeee. Time to play and do donuts in the truck (can't be abusive to the kitty).

Yeah, the snow DOES look nicer on the car until it melts and all that is left is all the dirt and salt residue. Even though the car is great in the snow it still pains me whenever I walk out to it and see all that crusted salt on it. Like in the snow belt I guess. Not sure what I look forward more to when spring comes: keeping my car clean or the opening of the golf courses..............

Thermo, I saw in the paper today the Bears/Ravens game was moved back to 3:15 from noon because of the big snow headed that way. Good luck with that............

Alfa, the Bears and Ravens are a basketball team right? I don't follow professional sports. I guess I get tired of listening to them complain about how they are making millions of dollars and can't afford to live. So, I will do my part in supporting their line of business. Learn to live like the rest of us.

HK, should you ever need any help with your car, let me know. I live south of you probably by about an hour or so. I have a lot of the tools that you may need and I love working on cars.

P.S. Alfa, yes, I do know that those two teams are for football. But, I still don't support professional teams.

Thumbs down

There are a number of people in Wisconisn (and probably some in Illinois too) that might dispute the Bears being a professional team.
