I didn't know relays were that cheap. I will definitely replace it than. I thought they were much more expensive.

I will look again for a crimped washer fluid line and keep you guys updated.

THanks again, you guys have been very helpful!

Final Update:

I got a jaguar relay from the dealer since Autozone didn't have one. This relay was the culprit just like CUTLP's car. Now all my settings and speed work perfectly including auto sensing.

And I fixed the washer fluid problem as well. It was a loose washer hose. The hose that comes up from the left side (passenger side) fell off from a clamp. I just put the hose back onto the clamp and it works perfectly. Thank you JVEGAS!

To think I was going driving without washer fluid and only the fast speed on the wipers for months and all it took to fix it was a $15.00 relay.

Thanks guys! I am loving my Jag again!

My 2005 X-Type intermittent and auto functions just stopped working. Normal wiper settings, slow and fast speeds, work OK so I know motor is OK. Checked fuse and it was OK. I see in these forum notes suggest Relay 4. I am going to replace that. Thanks for the info. I'll get back to you on the results.

I solved my intermittent wiper not working problem. Thanks to info received from this forum I changed the wiper relay (#4 in the under hood power distribution box) and it cured the problem. Thanks to all those who suggested this fix

Hello all... been while since I have to ask a question here... I have a 2004 X-Type 3.0 USA and now my wipers too do not work intermittent or auto or when i push the wiper fluid spray button but regular slow and fast work fine. Can someone post a pic of where the relay is, which one it is and possibly a part number?

Thanks in advance
Joe

Can anyone suggest a cure?

Thanks.
